We start the river journey totally self-sufficient with all supplies, equipment, food, tents etc., all carried on the rafts along with the guests. It’s an ideal way for reaching the most remote and stunning areas that the Indian Himalayas have to offer. We get to set up camps at scenic locations, offer sumptuous meals, relax by campfires and have loads of fun. We also have an opportunity to take short day hikes to explore remote villages, monasteries and learn about new cultures. The simple life, amazing canyons, sound and fragrance of the forests fills ones senses. The fast-paced life of the city seems to be a myth in these surroundings. You get back home calm and refreshed with loads of memories in a short duration. We offer a number of multiday trips on various rivers which may require a weekend or up to 5 to 8 days on the river. Expedition India offers short day river trips on the Ganga for people with tight time schedules and an appetite for adventure. The trip starts approximately 35 km upstream from Rishikesh. We offer an action-packed day with rapids like "Daniel's Dip", "The Wall", "Three Blind Mice", "Roller Coaster", "Golf Course" and several other smaller ones. All this, followed by lunch. Calm your overworked nerves and take a holy dip to wash away your sins - two birds with one stone on the mighty Ganga. |
