About our Guides:
 
Anvesh Singh Thapa has been actively trekking and rafting since 1996 with numerous first descents; he has been an expedition member opening new river trips, coordinating logistics & guiding on filming river expeditions which have featured on National Geographic television channel, Paddler Magazine, Action Asia & Outlook Traveller to name just a few. Anvesh has also led expeditions internationally and is well versed with the level of difficulty and excitement on rivers such as the Blue Nile (Ethiopia), Colorado/Eagle/Arkansas River (USA) and the Otra River (Norway). His passion and energy flows through every trip he guides.
Vikram Joshi is one of the most experienced adventure guides in the country, with over 20 years in adventure travel. He started kayaking and rafting in 1987 and trekking /climbing many years before that; he has guided numerous rivers all over the globe and has many first descents to his credit. He has climbed and trekked all over the Indian Himalaya, and has worked with various adventure travel companies in India, USA, Norway & UAE. He lives by the adage "rivers yet to run, adventures still to come”.
Bishnu Gurung Comes from a long line of Himalayan adventurers that hail from Nepal. Therefore it is not surprising that he has been running, organizing and leading trips on rivers throughout the Indian & the Nepalese Himalaya’s for most of his life. An experienced raft guide, safety kayaker and trip leader, Bishnu has honed his skills on descents of some of the toughest Himalayan Rivers & contributes extensive river knowledge and prowess to Expeditions India. Bishnu international rafting & kayaking portfolio includes working as a raft & safety kayaker on rivers in India, Bhutan & Japan. Bishnu is a certified White water Rescue Technician – Rescue 3 International & Wilderness First Responder - W.M.I U.S.A
Sanjay Saklani is a trained chef who is equally passionate about the kitchen and the outdoors. He started rafting and trekking in his youth, and later took his professional training in cooking in India. He has worked overseas and nationally in 5-star kitchens and is able to prepare multi-cuisine dishes out of his magic “kitchen tent” sometimes with just bare essentials! Sanjay is also involved in planning and logistics, and he keeps both his team and the guests entertained with his fun-loving nature.
Balam Singh Rana is a part of the new guide brigade, extremely tough raft guide & kayaker. Born & brought up on the banks of holy river Ganga. The outdoors comes naturally to him. Balam brings with him loads of passion & three year of river rafting experience.
